Reminder: Ministry has started receiving applications from Banks

It is to remind that orders have sent to banks from Ministry of Religious Affair about sending Hajj applications. In case of any delay, banks shall be held responsible.

In a press release, Pakistan Hajj and Umrah department, it is clearly said that all applications will be served as first come first serve and no applications shall be entertained after deadline. These application forms are filled by the banks as free of cost. Groups would be considered if group leader sign the check box properly and duly sign it. Banks are responsible to proceed complete applications submit by Umrah and Hajj applicants to start the process in time. Eleven banks are authorized to accept the application forms as;

National Bank of Pakistan (NBP),

Habib Bank Limited (HBL,

Allied Bank,

Bank Of Punjab (BOP),

Dubai Islami Bank,

First Women Bank,

Zraee Traqiati Bank,

United Bank Limited (UBL),

JS Bank,

Faysal Bank,

Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB).

Importance of Vaccination for pilgrims

This year (2012), the issue of vaccination certificate is discussed in the seminar conducted by Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Memorial Society. People obtain fake vaccination certificate from doctors to meet the requirement of hajj form. It is condemned strictly that vaccination is not a minor issue. It is imposed to save the people from contagious diseases. In case of submitting fake document the real purpose of vaccination spoil. This is not only illegal but also morally offense. This is obvious violation of Shariah, Dr. Saeed Ilahi, said the president of Seminar. He said that we have increased the health budget so that Hajjis should not face any difficulty in vaccination process. They could be able to present authentic vaccination document and will contribute their effort in saving other people from diseases. He added that meningitis is the disease that is creating problem among hajjis from last few years. To prevent any medical problem Saudi government has imposed this restriction that nobody will be able to enter into the premises of Kiblah and Ziyaraat. To emphasize on the importance of vaccination document Badshahi mosque Khteeb Maulana Al-Khair Azad, Dr. Alama Hussain Akbar, Hafiz Abdul Wahab Ropri address to the seminar and focus on the significance of health precautions. It is concluded in the seminar that related literature will be spread in mosques to make it known to the people intending for Umrah and Hajj this year.

Hajj must be restricted to once in every five years

This year a new policy is going to be implemented that every individual must be able to perform hajj in every five years. It has already imposed on the persons who are availing this opportunity on behalf of Government. The report tells that Government is seeking help from Private Hajj Operators so that people who are leaving to Jeddah with the excuse of Umrah or Hajj while their real intention is to go abroad.

Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Minister of Religious Affairs, discussed this issue in National Assembly and said that we would not facilitate those who go to Umrah and Hajj every and do not return according to schedule. In this regard, government will bind the Private travel agencies not to help the people in fleecing from country, added MNA Khalid Mansoor. To bring this policy in action, special shift is appointed to check and balance the activities of private tour operators.

Umm Al-Qura University’s Research Center of Excellence for Hajj and Umrah, comes up with a new idea to bridge the three most important places; Kiblah, Mina, and Arafat. The context of this idea is the utilization of latest technology of Funicular (Cable Cars) to avoid hazard and obstruction come during the performance of the most sought after religious duties of Hajj and Umrah.

The Director of Center, Adnan Gutub, in his presentation to the Chairman for Hajj commette, Khaled Al-Faisal, briefed that six routes will be abridged to facilitate the pilgrims as Khudai, Rusaifa, and Taneem.

This research is made to fulfill the need for public transportation in Saudi Arabia to control the traffic problem arises during hajj and Umrah days. This sane decision is made by Khaled Al Faisal to incorporate the latest technology to transport the pilgrims from one place to another without any serious problem. All this research is practical are started to serve the pilgrims and visitors to travel from Kiblah to holy mountains of Thawr and Nour. The project is expected to be started soon.

It is especially mentioned that this project is a supporting plan in addition to the existing pilgrims transporting system.

Pakistan Will Start Receiving Hajj Applications from 20th April

Pakistani Government has announced that its Banks will start receiving hajj applications from 20th April, 2012 for the coming season of hajj 2012. The spokesman of Pakistani hajj ministry Hafiz Sher Ali has said that Pakistani pilgrims will be served on first come and first serve basis. He has also said that hajj expenditures will increase for hajj pilgrims this year due to increased inflation in Pakistan. The decision for hajj fares have been taken by committee for hajj expenses this year.

The hajj quota for Pakistani pilgrims is 179,210 for the year 2012. About half of the Pakistani hajj pilgrims will perform umrah obligation under the Government scheme and rest of the hajj pilgrims will perform hajj obligation under the services of other private and local hajj and umrah services provider companies. The pilgrims are further divided into White, Green and Blue categories on the basis of requirements and budgets of pilgrims.

 

Saudi HAjj inister Meets Jordanian Hajj Mission

According to News Sources, Saudi hajj minister, Bandar Bin Hajjar recently has a meeting with Jordanian Hajj Mission who is being headed by Jordanian Minister of Islamic Affairs of Jordan, Abdul Salam Dawood.  Saudi Hajj Minister has highlighted the efforts carried on by Saudi authorities for providing better and improved facilities and services to foreign pilgrims coming to the Holy Kingdom for performing hajj and umrah obligation. Saudi Minister highlighted the keen interest of King Abdullah regarding provision of best available services to Guests of Allah (S.W.T) in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Hajj Minister emphasized on the importance of educating pilgrims coming to the Holy Kingdom from all over the world including Jordanian  pilgrims about obeying Saudi rules and regulation so that pilgrims can be able to perform without any problem.

All issues and matters regarding problems faced by Joradanian pilgrims and plans to facilitate pilgrims were discussed during the meting.

Jordanian Minister commended Saudi Government for making efforts and initiating several huge projects for the facilitating  hajj and umrah pilgrims in the holiest cities of Makkah and Madinah.

 

 

 

Mataf Expansion Project to be Announced

tawafThe dean of the Custodian of the Holiest Mosques of Makkah and Madinah has announced that they have decided to expand the open area of Mataf, a place where hajj and umrah pilgrims perform circumambulation. It is being expected that expansion in Mataf will provide space which will be able to provide facility about 130,000 pilgrims in an hour.

The expansion in Mataf will help pilgrims perform their circumambulation with more convenience and help resolve overcrowding of pilgrims in the areas of Mataf. It is also said that latest techniques and equipments will be used for the construction and expansion of Mataf area. The Saudi authorities have been instructed to complete the project within a time span of three years and heavy equipment and large number of workers have been instructed to work on the project to complete it within allocated time.

The plan has also been presented to committee of Saudi scholars and Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia to make sure that no construction or expansion work must be done in the premises of Grand Mosque of Makkah which may be against the rules of Islamic Shariah.

The Mataf expansion project has been sent to the King of Saudi Arabia for the final consideration and approval.

Saudi Minister to Hold Meeting at Reserch Centre

Saudi hajj minister is about to hold a meeting at hajj and umrah research centre held at Umm ul Qura university in Makkah in order to bring forward more plans and suggestion to further improve services being provided by Saudi Government to hajj and umrah minister.

According to an interview by university rector Bakri Assas, the aim of meeting is to discuss plans and also conducting latest research work so as to provide better services to hajj and umrah pilgrims which can help them perform their hajj and umrah obligation with more convenience and peace of mind.

It is worth mentioning that centre is the only centre in the world where research is carried out for offering improved services to hajj and umrah pilgrims coming from all over the world to Makkah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia. The rector has also said that the centre in Umm ul Qura University has successfully contributed to giving many suggestions and plans for the sack of better hospitality to hajj and umrah pilgrims. It has also done a tremendous work in conducting studies and research work regarding this concern. The centre is equipped with some of the best equipment for conducting research work. Also the most qualified staff is part of this centre which is continuously working for making plans so as to facilitate more hajj and umrah pilgrims.
